The Public Prosecutor's Office (OM) has demanded 12 months probation and 240 hours of community service in its case against 2 operators of so-called cash centers.
Henrik V. and Ronald B were also given three years' probation and both men were fined for the businesses involved. Prosecutors allege that the operators illegally offered games of chance through the slot machines, which were active between January 2017 and March 2019. The defendants deny this and stress that they set up payment services.
Payment machines
According to RTV Rijnmond, 53-year-old casino owner Henrik 10 V. from Enschede got the idea for the payment machine at a couples club. He believes that "paying without a bank card in your pocket should be easy." With this idea in mind, Ten V approached Ronald B., a 67-year-old Dutch slot machine supplier from Rotterdam.
They joined forces and in 2014 the idea of a so-called cash center vending machine was born. This makes it possible to open anonymous accounts, make deposits and then place bets on illegal online gambling services.
