An attempted robbery took place at Pierre de Jonge casino on Lange Brugstraat in Breda at 8.10am on Wednesday morning. Police said no money was stolen and no one was injured during the event. No arrests were made in the case.

Three persons reportedly took part in the robbery, which took place behind the premises on Nieuwstraat Avenue. A back exit for employees located in an alley is present. The manager of the casino claimed that one of the robbers apprehended a cleaner outside. This led to the release of two additional accomplices who tried to enter the building with the struggling woman.

Casino raided many times in the past

Pierre de Jonge's branches are regularly targeted by robbers. In the past, the branches at Havermarkt in Breda and those in Dongen and Zevenbergen were targeted several times by robbers.
