In the Lotto draw of Saturday 4 September, the jackpot of €5.7 million was won by an online player from Arnhem. Further details on the winner or winner will not be disclosed. The prize winner had correctly predicted the six winning numbers 9 - 13 - 14 - 21 - 24 and 33. In 2020 the jackpot fell no less than 9 times, making it the most frequently falling jackpot in the Netherlands. The Lotto jackpot of 5.7 million euros is a gross cash prize. This means that the winner still has to pay 30.1% gaming tax on this amount.

This is the fourth time this year that the Lotto Jackpot has fallen. In March this year a Lotto Jackpot of €5.4 million fell in the municipality of Zevenaar. On 1 May a Lotto Jackpot of 3.7 million fell in Tiel and a week later, on 8 May, a Lotto Jackpot of 2.5 million fell in Rosmalen.
