According to Spanish media reports, FIFA has suspended Kieran Trippier. The English Football Federation FA imposed a ten-week suspension on the right back of Atlético Madrid last month for breaching the strict rules on gambling for footballers.
Kieran Trippier of Atlético Madrid has been excluded from all football activities for no less than ten weeks. In addition, the English international has to pay a fine of around EUR 77 000 for breaking the rules on gambling at football matches.
According to, inter alia, El Pais, FIFA has decided to suspend the suspension during the appeal proceedings. That would mean that Trippier could continue to play football for Atlético for the time being. The Englishman does not belong to the selection made by trainer Diego Simeone.
