Ferdy R., the founder of Lottery Loss, has been sentenced to two years in prison by the court in Zwolle. According to the court, the man who once successfully litigated against the State Lottery is guilty of money laundering and fraud. The prosecution demanded four years. According to the court in Zwolle, Ferdy R. cunningly pushed EUR 2.8 million behind his back.
The money came from people who litigated against the State Lottery through the foundation. As founder of the Lottery Loss Foundation, R. therefore went to war. Almost 200,000 victims joined in. This was possible for a minimum amount of € 35.
The sentence for R. is lower than the four years' imprisonment demanded by the Public Prosecution Service. The court takes into account that the man has never been convicted before.
